Roxanne Evans Bio
I was born in Beaver Dam, WI but moved to Waukesha at a very early age where I lived most of my life. I graduated from Waukesha High School in 1965 when there was only ONE campus! I worked at Walgreen’s Drug Store during my high school years doing various jobs until I graduated and then became their Office Manager/Bookkeeper.
I wanted to explore the world so I went to an airline school in Minneapolis and ultimately worked in reservations for TWA in Chicago. I eventually came back to WI and worked for the District Attorney Roger Murphy.
I have always enjoyed working with numbers so I have had several positions in various CPA and Architectural firms, my last employment lasting for 18 years with Welman Architects, in Waukesha who specialized in healthcare facilities.
I retired in 2012 as Business Manager. I was a seasonal resident of The Villages from 2009 until 2014 when I became a full-time resident.
I have an adult son, Marc, and two beautiful grandchildren, Samantha (8) and Connor (6) who now live in Melbourne, FL. I enjoy golf, bowling, billiards, bocce, concerts at the Savannah Center and The Sharon, and the total lifestyle The Villages offers. The only thing I miss about WI is the many friends I have come to know over my lifetime. I still keep in touch with many of them and they have visited The Villages.
