Monthly Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President Thies, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
President Thies reported that we had 15 pounds of cheese curds on the back table at the beginning of the evening and that they were almost gone. Obviously, they were enjoyed by all in attendance. The curds were purchased from Farmer John’s Cheese in Dodgeville, WI.
An announcement was made regarding Game Night. For the month of March only, Game Night will be held on Sunday, March 25th @ 6:00 pm at Bacall Recreation Center.
Wisconsin Singers tickets are still available. Our club shares in the revenue from this event which helps keep our club dues at $5.00.
The golf outing scramble has been scratched due to lack of interest. Only 40 members signed up. The event was to be held at Harbor Hills.
The Joint Club Golf Outing will be May 5th at Pimlico and Belmont courses. See Marilyn Butoff for a reservation. The cost is $2/member.
Our entertainment for the April 16th will be Mark and Miller Dance Party Duo. The meeting time if 7:00 pm.
President Thies reminded members that if you are not receiving the newsletter on your email, it may be going to your junk file.
Treasurer’s Report for February 1, 2018, to February 28, 2018, was given Hal Baumann. A motion to approve was made, seconded and approved. (Copy attached)
Helen Feeney reported that she made a flier for the Wisconsin Singers which has been displayed at Eaton’s Beach Restaurant. She asked that we thank them for the next time we go there.
Election of officers will be held in the April 2018 meeting. The slate is as follows:
President: MaryKay Childress
Vice President: Jeanne Engle
Treasurer: Hal Baumann
Assistant Treasurer and Membership Chairperson: Roxanne Evans
The club Webmaster, a non-board member, will remain Nancy Miller.
Joanie Schachtner introduced our 6 new members.
Jeanne Engle led bingo as a mixer game. Everyone enjoyed themselves.
At 7:50 Me and My Gang was introduced entertained us with a variety show.
The drawing for the door prize was held at 8:46 pm. We had two winners. The prizes were donated by Provenance of Mt. Horeb, WI.
50/50 drawing had 6 winners. Prizes were $7, $10, $25, $30, $40 and $50.
