November 2018 President’s Message
Hello Wisconsin Club, Lake Sumter!
Welcome to our new members and welcome back to our returning snowbird members! Where has the time gone? Can you believe it’s November? Gosh. It’s almost Christmas again. The Holidays will be upon us in a matter of weeks.
Some of you may have missed our Oktoberfest. Thank you Jeannie Engle for another successful event. It was tough to compete with a night that also included a Packer game and a Brewers game. I wish the games had turned out better for us. It looked like everyone had a good time at the pig roast though. I saw several people taking selfies with the pig. That was pretty funny.
A huge Thank You to all of you that contributed to the Stanton-Weirsdale “Change a Child’s Holiday”! I am so proud to announce, our Club will make a difference this Thanksgiving for 8 very appreciative families! These families, unable to provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal ,will receive a large turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, a side dish and dessert thanks to your generosity. What a Blessing for them! Thank you again.
Mary Ann Welke has graciously agreed to take on the Hospitality responsibility for our meetings. THANK YOU SO MUCH MARY ANN!!!
For my WI Athletic enthusiasts, let’s recap our standings. Well, we all know how the Brewers ended up, but wouldn’t that have been awesome if they made it to the World Series! I hear the Bucks have their game on this season! They currently are in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference. The Badgers didn’t win our conference, but hopefully, they will get an invitation to a good bowl game. As for our Packers…we just had a great win against the Dolphins. Hopefully, it’s the start of a trend. Please remember we gather at Cody’s, Lake Sumter, for the Noon – 4:30 PM games, but we don’t reserve seats for the late games. Please contact Bill Cammack (firstname.lastname@example.org) for the details and PLEASE call or email Bill to save your seat. Every week I see folks come in and fill our reserved section, but then people who actually contacted Bill “to reserve their seats” miss out. It’s not fair, but we don’t have any other way to control it, so please contact Bill 2 days before the game if you can. Thank you for your cooperation.
November 19 Meeting, 7:00 pm
Singer, Kim Marie Manske, has been entertaining in Milwaukee, Las Vegas, and New York City. Her repertoire includes songs from the 1930s to the present. We welcome a fellow Wisconsinite (and Floridian, in the winter) to the stage in November.
Fifteen lbs. of cheese curds have been ordered from Farmer John in Dodgeville, WI! We will be serving them at that meeting too, so you won’t want to bet late!
Make sure to bring snacks to share at your table; BYOB.
Doors open at 6:30 and the meeting starts at 7:00 pm

Remember this is a 25-50-75 table.
Also, if you know of anyone else that would like to play sheepshead, please contact Hal at email@example.com or 352-223-9358 and he will add them to the contact list.
The Wisconsin Singers will be here again on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, with performances at 5 and 8 PM.
This group of high energy college students, most of whom are not music majors, get no funding from the University of Wisconsin.
In addition to helping them fund continued performances, our purchase of tickets serves as a fundraiser for the three Wisconsin Clubs in the Villages. This year our club is responsible for getting the bottled water for the singers used at the event this year (we will be reimbursed).
Discount coupons available to us before our January 2019 meeting.
Support the Pack at our viewing Parties!
We will be supporting the Green Bay Packers at the Cody’s in Lake Sumter this season. Please, kindly RSVP to Bill Cammack at firstname.lastname@example.org or 312-304-7757 within 2 days of the game for reserved seating. This is very important so you have your seats and you do not lose out. In other words, RSVP or you’re NOT getting a seat!
